Why Choose Luau Bingo for your Party?

While there are many traditional games to choose from for your party, luau bingo is a no brainer:

  • Enjoyed by all ages, from kids to adults.
  • Easy to play with no special skills or knowledge.
  • Can be played in small or large groups.
  • Fun, interactive activity for guests.
  • A little bit of competition makes every party more exciting.

Four Printable Luau Bingo Game Cards

What’s in the Free Download?

The free file available at the bottom of this post includes:

  • 6 pages of brightly colored luau themed bingo cards
  • Each page includes two 4″x6″ bingo cards to help conserve printer ink, and
  • A call-out card with spaces to keep track of which icons you’ve already named.

Don’t forget…All the cards are unique – there are no duplicates!

Tips for Printing Out the File

Here are some handy tips to make sure your charades cards look their best when printed:

  • Paper Size: These bingo cards are sized to fit best on standard letter-sized paper (8.5″ x 11″).
  • Paper Type: Opt for cardstock or thick paper to ensure your cards are sturdy and durable. This makes them easier to handle and less prone to bleed through if you use pens.
  • Print Quality: For the most vibrant colors, make sure to set your printer to “High” or “Best” quality.

How to Play Luau Bingo

You’ll Need

  • Printable bingo cards – free copy at the bottom of the post, or download a full set here
  • Paper – I prefer white card stock so they can be reused, but feel free to use what you have
  • Scissors to cut apart the cards
  • Bingo markers – We like to use Hershey’s kisses to keep things easy and sweet, but you can also use seashell candies, mini erasers (1/2 inch or smaller), spare coins, M&Ms, or any other small object.
  • A prize for the winner. Bragging rights are always an option, but if you want to declare a big kahuna, consider small luau-themed prizes like leis, beach balls, or tropical themed candies.

Set up and Play:

  1. Print the required number of bingo cards, plus an additional call-out card.
  2. Cut the cards out along the edges, or simply cut down the middle of the page.
  3. Each player will need at least one card and a handful of markers. Make sure to let them know to cover the free space before starting.
  4. Play Bingo one of two ways:
    1. Let the leader roll a marker onto the card to randomly pick out each picture. Then mark the picture in one of the squares underneath the image, or
    2. Cut the squares out from the call out card and place them into a bag. Then have the leader pull the pictures out of the bag until someone calls Bingo!
  5. As soon as a player covers 5 squares in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally), they call out “BINGO!” The first person to call out wins the game.

Fun Tip: Spice things up by adding more challenging rules. For example, instead of calling out “bingo,” players have to call out a Hawaiian word or phrase like “mahalo” or “aloha” in order to win the game.
