You can get away with all sorts of stupid things when you’re young.
When the Husband and I were honeymooning, we spent a day in Capri, off of the Italian coast. It was one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever been to, with lush greenery and cobblestone streets. But as beautiful as Capri is, the gorgeous island is most known for its lemons…and therefore, its limoncello.
We arrived at the town of Capri at about 9 o’clock in the morning, after a brief nap on the ferry, and a fun ride up the funiculare (cable car). Not long after arriving, we happened upon a little window shop with drinks and treats to enjoy. So, being young and stupid, we ordered two limoncellos.
I’ll never forget the look on the shopkeeper’s face.
Nonetheless, we fearlessly ordered our 9 am limoncellos. It only took me one tiny sip to understand the shopkeeper’s face. Being a lightweight, that sip was enough and I passed my cup over to my husband. Call it masculine pride (or stupidity), he drank both glasses, and had a very interesting morning after that!
Anytime I think of lemons, I think of that morning. So, when Amy from Health, Home and Heart decided to share her recipe for Blackberry Lemonade for today’s Spectacular Summer Blog Hop, my thoughts immediately drifted over to Italy’s Amalfi coast and morning limoncello.
Free Lemonade Art Print
Of course, lemonade is far better at 9am than limoncello, but the memory of that silly day left me inspired. So, to go along with Amy’s blackberry lemonade recipe, I created a fun free lemonade art print for you to enjoy around your home this summer. Print one off for your kids’ lemonade stands or just put it up as a fun summer sign!
Just don’t try limoncello before noon, okay?

What is your proudest accomplishment?
I know this is pretty cliche, but my daughter is my proudest accomplishment. She’s only two right now, so I haven’t had enough time to completely screw her up yet. Ha! Seriously, though, she is such a great kids and truly amazes me every day.
Each of my Spectacular Summer co-hosts is sharing a little bit more about Amy on their blogs, too. So don’t forget to hop around and see what else she has to say.
