How to Make BLT Sliders
To make things even easier for you, I created a simple photo guide below. For all measurements and a more detailed guide, check out the recipe card at the bottom of this page.
Step 1 – Slice the slider rolls horizontally to create one ‘sheet’ of tops and one ‘sheet’ of bottoms. Do not individually slice the slider rolls.
Step 2 – Toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes or until desired darkness is reached. Once the buns are removed from the oven, set the tops of the buns aside.
Step 3 – Spread about 1 tablespoon mayo to the underside of each of the top buns. (You can also just use a knife and spread it all over the buns if you’re in a hurry. Both ways are equally delicious.)
Step 4 – Place 1-2 slices of tomato on each bottom bun, depending on how much you love tomatoes.
Step 5 – Add two slices of bacon on top of each of the tomatoes, side-by-side.
Step 6 – Layer shredded lettuce on top of the bacon. Place the top ‘sheet’ of buns onto the bottom buns.
To Garnish (Optional): Skewer a toothpick with a cherry tomato and a small pice of kale, then press the toothpick garnish into the top of each sandwich.Gently pull apart the sandwiches before serving so they’re ready for grabbing—then dig in and enjoy!
Essential Tips:
Don’t skip these tips – read them before starting to avoid any potential mistakes.
- Take your buns to the next level and butter both sides before toasting.Your buns will come out golden, crispy, and oh-so-delicious.
- Thick cut bacon gives you just the right amount of bacon without stacking it too high and turning your slider into a messy eating experience.
- You can substitute the shredded lettuce for romaine, green leaf lettuce or iceberg, but I suggest using a more thin-cut lettuce rather than a thicker cut.
- Even if you don’t add the garnish on top, toothpicks inserted through the sliders keeps them together and makes them easier to grab and enjoy at a party.
- Experiment with different types of condiments to make this recipe your own. Add avocado or swap mayo for ranch dressing for a twist on the classic BLT.

Storage Tips
Make Ahead:
If you’re serving at a party, these are best made on the same day.
Otherwise, you can store them in the fridge in an airtight for up to 4 days. Remember to let them come to room temperature for ab out 30 minutes before enjoying.
Freeze
I do not suggest freezing BLT sliders as defrosted lettuce and tomatoes can be quite slimy and gross.
