{Featured Parties} Two Amazing Mario Kart Birthday Bashes!

A couple  months ago I posted an inspiration board I had put together for a Mario Kart themed birthday party.  Although the birthday boy’s Mom and I were all about this theme, he ended up asking for a Toy Story party instead…so I never got to go past the inspiration phase.

As luck would have it, the month of May brought not one, but two amazing Mario Kart themed parties from Paisley Petal Events and the infamous Purple Pug!

Paisley Petal pulled together a party that was really striking with the use of glossy blacks and bold graphic prints:

The Purple Pug focused more on color scheme, and used character images in more subtle, but interesting ways:

I don’t know if I could choose a favorite between these two.  I love the commonality between the two of adapting the bright colors and using very bold prints.  It’s also interesting how both incorporated donuts in a big way.  What’s so incredibly fun to see is how differently these are executed not only from each other, but from what I had been thinking of at the time.  Maybe this will be the new trend in kids parties.  I would love to see more of them, that’s for sure!

As always, I only shared a teeny tiny bit of the photos and details of the parties featured here.  Please, please go visit The Purple Pug and Paisley Petal Events to see more details of these fantastic parties!
