This Bailey’s Butterscotch Almond Cocktail is the perfect light drink for a holiday evening at home or to serve as a light shot at your holiday party.
First, I’d like to thank Leslie for granting me this great opportunity to guest post on her wonderful blog!
I’m Joanne Schweitzer from No Plate Like Home.com and I’m excited to help moms succeed at home by providing great homemade recipes, DIY crafts and home décor like 5 Cheap and Easy Christmas Decorating Ideas , travel adventures, and money saving tips. I live in a country type setting in a Philadelphia suburb with my husband and our two cute little boys ages 4 and 5 who keep us…motivated? Well, let’s say interesting.
This is the first year I purchased an Elf on a Shelf for our little boys. I’m already a tad bit pessimistic in thinking it will not work at getting our kids to clean up their toys but, as a desperate and tired mom, I’m willing to try it out.
This cute Dollar Tree glass says it all “He sees you when you’re drinking.” I had to laugh when I saw it at first. It reminded myself that I too had to be good or that little tattle telling the Elf on Shelf would tell Santa and I may get coal in my stocking instead of the Trek bike I’ve been wanting.
Well, I think even Santa would like this mixture of Bailey’s Irish Cream, Butterscotch Schnapps, Amaretto and Almond Milk. It’s a buttery almond, creamy tasting drink you can serve on the rocks or as a shot. This will come in handy on those long nights of wrapping gifts, running out of paper or tape and not finding the perfect place to hide the gifts from snoopy kids. Tiramisu Eggnog Cocktail will do the trick too!
In this recipe, you can barely tell there is alcohol in it. I like serving mixed drinks that don’t make my guests pucker up in disgust when there is too much alcohol flavor.
This Bailey’s Butterscotch Almond Cocktail is good to serve before or after dinner at a Christmas Party or Christmas dinner. It can be made ahead in a pitcher so you don’t have to mix cocktails while hosting your guests. The holiday season is so much fun but, it is exhausting. You’re tired and you need to relax!
Have a wonderful holiday season!

Oh gosh, I think I remember a layered “shot” I used to drink back in the day (no almond milk though) that reminds me of this. I chuckled at the glasses, too!
Thanks for sharing your creation with us at Fiesta Friday this week!
