It’s official…I’m in serious nesting mode. It’s bad enough that the Husband had to yell at me to stop thinking about every little thing that needs to be done. Also, I’m starting to get to a point where I am forced to take breaks every hour or so – which is not in my nature.
What’s a nesting mom to do when she isn’t able to be up cleaning out the linen closet (what, didn’t you do that too)? Look at birth announcements of course! In the immediate postpartum haze, deciding on which specific announcements to purchase seems like insanity. Why not have most everything lined up in advance? Then it’s just a matter of taking photos and recording information!
Is it any wonder that my first girl loves her hairbows and tutus? I am completely swooning over these girly announcements from Gwen Marie Designs and The Gray Attic.

Of course, I had to look for some options for the boys as well. This fox announcement (from Color Quarry) has such a classic feel, it makes me long to stick my nose in an old classic children’s story. And I know the Husband would absolutely go nuts for a rock star invitation like this one from Sunshine Printables.
Then again, there’s something to be said for a modern, yet simple design like these from Forever Your Prints and Elskr 79.
