5 Clever and Colorful Fall Wreaths

Summer is full of vibrant colors – bright yellow, turquoise, and pink. When fall comes around, we often think of more muted tones  like brown and garnet. But if you take a good look around, fall is full of beautiful colors. The leaves on the trees, chrysanthemums, and pumpkins all provide beautiful colors to admire from September through November.
It’s not uncommon to see that inspiration in colorful fall wreaths. We’ve all seen wreaths made with dried leaves and wheat. And lately I’ve been longing to create something for our own front door. Something that incorporates the feel of fall in a creative way.
It turns out there’s a lot of inspiration to find out there, too. I’ve seen a few really unique wreaths that would make any visitor do a double-take. You know what I’m talking about. Those projects that make you say “Now why didn’t I think of that?”

Even though the vibrant colors of summer are passed, you can still brighten your door with one of these clever and colorful fall wreaths!

5 Clever and Colorful Fall Wreaths

Colorful fall wreaths are the way to go! This DIY peg doll sunburst wreath is a fun addition to a dark door.

Make a sunburst wreath with doll pins? Yes, please! All it takes is a small, flat wreath form, some paint, an embroidery hoop, and a glue gun. (seen on Yes, I Made This!)

Colorful leaves are classic fall decor. This cookie leaf wreath is a delicious and clever way to add color to your front door.

You know I love my sweets, and I love how these fall cookie leaves sparkle! Talk about a delicious way to welcome people into your home. (seen at Country Living)

5 Clever and Colorful Fall Wreaths: A pom pom wreath makes me want to curl up under a blanket with a cup of hot cocoa!

Then again, Down the Primrose Path made a wreath covered in fluffy pom poms.  Doesn’t it just make you want to curl up with a warm blanket and a cup of hot cocoa?

5 Clever and Colorful Fall Wreaths: How about a modern 3-D wreath for your front door?

Or, you could make this modern 3-D Wreath. It’s cute in all orange, but a variety of colors could work too! (seen at Tatertots and Jello)

5 Clever and Colorful Fall Wreaths: A photo wreath is a fun way to welcome guests to your door this fall.I had to save the best for last. There’s something so fun about Merriment Design’s photo wreath. Just the fact that it’s only pictures of fall items gives it a slightly sarcastic feel (which I love). But then again, it’s kind of genius. How cute would this be if it were modified to be family photos? Love.

I don’t know about you, but after looking at all of these pictures, I’m ready to put some color on my front door.

Do you hang a fall wreath?
Which is your favorite of these colorful fall wreaths?
