of Kosher Salt
Prepare a baking pan with parchment paper.
Measure the Bisquick mix into a bowl.
Add one or two ounces of beer to the Bisquick and combine carefully. Continue adding beer and mixing until the Bisquick forms a heavy dough, and there are no obvious lumps of mix remaining. Be careful not to add too much beer or to overmix the batter.
Drop biscuit dough onto the prepared sheet. Don't worry about making them look perfect, these are rustic-looking biscuits
Sprinkle with kosher salt and bake at 350F for 6-12 minutes until the dough just turns golden brown.
- Use the beer sparingly. Too much beer will make your dough too thin, which will result in flat, unatractive biscuits.
- Don't overmix the batter. You want the biscuit mix to be just barely wet, but without too many lumps. Overmixing will give your biscuits the same issues as too much beer. Just don't do it.
- Baking time will depend on the size of your biscuits and the density of your batter.
- These biscuits are best eaten the same day you make them. If you want to eat them the next day, gently warm the biscuits in the microwave or oven and serve with butter.
