The majority of my family (parents, siblings, nieces and nephews) are all heading to the beach in a couple of weeks. With temperatures expected to heat up to over 100 degrees over the next couple days I’m wishing that we could be headed toward the sand and surf with them.
That is unfortunately not the case, so I decided to bring a bit of the beach to our house by creating a mini beach-inspired table setting with items on hand.
I started off using the netting leftover from the crab feast over top of a white table cloth. Then I added a seagrass placemat and dishes in whites and blues.
I’ve had these paper napkins for years after buying them on a whim, just because I liked the pattern. I really like the bold pinks, blues and greens against the soft blue-green plate. After wrapping the silver in the napkin, I then wrapped the napkin in a seashell necklace.
To add a bit more of a pop, I brought in one of the paper flower pomanders I made for T’s first birthday party last year.
…and there you have my simple seaside place setting. I can almost hear the waves crashing against the shore!
