What a weekend. The last few days have just been filled with moments that make you question whether you can make it through just one day without at least one major mess-up. It started with a smashed phone on Friday, an epic ‘accident’ on Saturday by the kid who has been potty trained for eight months, a closet doorknob that finally stopped working when we desperately needed the contents inside, and a dreaded trip to Walmart that was extended by 40 minutes because of one forgotten item (I finally timed it & found that it took 25 minutes to get through the line & checked out).
But there were good moments, too. New loveys for both girls, a new phone for me, a successful family dinner out without any need for electronics, jumping pillows, bounce houses, apple cider donuts, petting farms, pumpkin picking, pumpkin bowling, and s’mores in the backyard. The girls played together Sunday afternoon for nearly two hours without raising their voices more than a couple times (some kind of record).
Even better was finding out that Elaine (Miss Elaine-ous Life) and Nancy (Bacardi Mama) are hosting Old School Blogging this month; and it’s all about the best parts of fall. They’ve come up with eleven fun questions about Halloween and Thanksgiving, and I’m all in!
