I mentioned last week that the Husband and I were traveling to Pennsylvania for the holiday weekend. Originally, we were going to have family and friends over to our house for a barbecue, but it had been far too long since we last visited our PA family. So we loaded up the car and brought a dessert buffet and decorations for a party on the road!
The menu consisted of mini doughnuts, peach raspberry pie, patriotic s’mores, sangria, specialty beers (not pictured), berry parfaits (made with homemade whipped cream instead of greek yogurt), candy drizzled apple slices and candy covered pretzels.
Decorations were almost exclusively made with crepe paper and white paper lunch bags in red, white and blue. It’s really amazing how many ways you can use such simple items!
Even T got into it. She probably had more sugar that day than any other day in her life. We even gave her her first lollipop (a ring pop that she was showing off to anyone that would look!).
I hope you all had a fantastic July 4th! We were certainly happy to spend the time with family and friends.
