Hello, and welcome to the new space! I’m so excited to finally be up and running again. Believe it or not, I’ve been working on this transfer and redesign since last spring. And now it’s almost spring again!
The design and site name aren’t the only things that changed around here. One of the biggest changes I wanted to make was to improve functionality for readers. Believe it or not, there are over 800 posts on this blog, and a wide range of topics to go with it. The menu is laid out so you should be able to find just about anything you’re looking for in an easy-to-read layout. (No scrolling through pages and pages of post excerpts…yay!)
I’m also excited to announce that you can now join my mailing list to get a weekly update of all the posts here at From Play Dates to Parties. Plus, by joining the mailing list you’ll also have access to my favorite posts from other bloggers around the web. Just think of it as your weekly dose of inspiration!
And if you’re looking for quick inspiration for the next holiday, don’t forget to check out the sidebar! I’ll be updating it regularly with crafts, recipes and party ideas to make your holiday extra special.
Aside from working on the transfer and redesign here, so much happened with our little family over the last month. I started training for another race this April and really took control of my cravings. Valentine’s Day came and went with a bouquet of roses and a dozen chocolate covered strawberries from the husband. That was also the moment I regretted giving up sweets and snack foods for Lent. At least the girls loved eating them!
The Husband did a lot of traveling as well. And wouldn’t you know it, the week that he was gone from Monday through Friday was the week that we all came down with the flu. Every single one of us. We were able to get some Tamiflu for the 3 year old and the baby. But the rest of us just stayed away from the rest of the world and battled it out with OTC medications and lots of rest.
On another note, the baby turned six months old! I can’t believe it. He’s rolling over onto his belly all the time now. T dubbed him a “flippin’ whiz.” He’s just barely sitting independently, and even cut his first tooth.
Whew, that felt like a lot!
