Using Canned Dough?

Skip ahead  to step 8  (slide 13)  to see how to shape the bunny ears.

you'll need:

– Butter, melted – Instant yeast – All-purpose flour – Egg – Granulated sugar – Water – Whole milk – Vanilla extract – Salt – Ground cinnamon – Dark brown sugar – Powdered sugar – Gel food colors – Sprinkles

Step 1

Heat water, milk, and butter until the butter is just melted.

Step 2

Combine flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast in a large bowl. Add the warm milk mixture and stir.

Step 3

Mix in the egg until just combined. Knead the dough for 3 minutes.

Step 4

Place dough in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Rest in a warm place for about 40 minutes.

Step 5

Mix dark brown sugar, ground cinnamon and softened butter in a medium mixing bowl. Set aside.

Step 6

After the dough rises, roll it out into a rectangular shape. Spread filling on top, and roll into a log.

Step 7

Cut the log into 10 equal sections.

Step 8

To make the bunny shape: Unroll the outer edge of the cinnamon roll and bend it to create two bunny ears.

Step 9

Allow the rolls to rise an additional 10 minutes on the tray.

Step 10

Bake until golden brown, gently re-shaping the bunny ears halfway through baking, if necessary.

Step 11

Whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk in a large bowl.

Step 12

Divide into four bowls, and color with gel food coloring.

Step 12

Decorate your Easter cinnamon rolls with icing and sprinkles.
