I hope you had a fantastic Easter weekend with your families. We took some time to go to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday morning. T had a blast gathering up eggs and chatting up the Easter bunny. L even got to play with her own egg for a good long while.
Easter morning was quite the whirlwind. The Husband and I were up pre-dawn to ensure that we all got out of the house for 8am Mass (the Husband was scheduled to do the readings). We actually don’t put out the Easter baskets until after the kids are in the car to go to church. That way we avoid meltdowns when it’s time to leave.
T and I colored eggs on Saturday using the glitter and metallic PAAS coloring kits. She also helped to make paper chains for behind the table, and I put out some fresh tulips and hydrangeas. The girls received WAY too much stuff, but at least there was hardly any candy.
In other news, L has officially turned 9 months old. She’s a whopping 20 pounds, and is still feisty as ever.
She hardly sits still at all (it was so hard to get these pictures!), and is curious about everything. Her hair is starting to grow back in…a lighter brown than either mine or my husband’s. We’ve been told to stop all purees and to start letting her eat our table foods – which she absolutely loves. I doubt that it will be long before she’s crawling, but she still hates being on her stomach, and is trying to pull up on anything that doesn’t move.
I’m cherishing these last few moments of babyhood…because it looks like we’re on the fast track to toddlerhood!
