Happy 2013 everyone! Hopefully you all made it into the new year safely. The Husband and I put the girls to bed by 8:30 last night, pulled out the crystal champagne flutes from our wedding and toasted several times to the start of the new year.
This year is looking to be fantastic. The baby is starting to **finally** sleep longer at night, and is much happier during the day; we’re already scheduled to take our first family vacation in three years; and this long break has
I’m not one for New Year’s Resolutions, but there are a few goals that I’m hoping to work toward:
- Just like everyone else, I’m hoping to get into shape and drop a few pounds. But as far as resolutions really go, I just want to incorporate ONE new healthy habit into my life. Who cares what it is, as long as it becomes a true habit.
- Get organized. I once heard that a messy desk/house means a messy mind. Basically, if your environment isn’t organized, then it’s difficult to focus on the task at hand. This is so true for me, so I’m still on the search for a system to help me stay organized at home, at work and on the blog.
- Relax. I’m one of those people that operates best under a certain level of stress. Unfortunately, there’s also a tipping point that means no one wants to be around it either. Last year I let go of worrying about stats and all that on the blog last year, and it has been WONDERFUL. This year I’m hoping to bring some of that into our home life. Who cares if the girls birthday parties aren’t styled to the max or if the house is a bit of a mess. A bit of clutter never hurt anyone.
Do you have any goals for 2013? If so, how are you keeping yourself accountable?
